Welcome to the 2008 AYSO Section 5 Games Tournament website!!

If you are new to the Section Games , welcome and if you are returning, thanks for coming back. There was some great competition and fantastic sportsmanship displayed during the 2007 Games. Although we set the standard high, I know we will exceed what we achieved last year. Once again, as Tournament Director, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to the beautiful city of Knoxville, TN. We are proud to host the games again in 2008 and hope your experience this year will be as enjoyable as it was in 2007.

There have been some great additions to the Tournament staff. They are eager to infuse their energy and ideas into this wonderful venture. We hope that you will find the information contained in the website to be helpful and informative. If for any reason you find that you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact the appropriate person listed on our contact page.

Knoxville Tourism and Sports Corporation is on board again this year and they are making every effort to make sure your hotel and retail needs are met. I would like to thank them for all the work they are doing on behalf of the participants of the AYSO Section 5 Games. They are working to make sure we receive the best rates at some of the best accommodations our city has to offer.

We have made some changes from last year and hope you will find these changes will enhance your experience here. Participants will be able to advertise in the program this year. If you missed your opportunity to wish your team or very special player luck, make sure to get your ad in this year.

Now that you’ve had an opportunity to visit our city, maybe this year you’ll take a few extra days to see the sights!!

On behalf of the entire tournament staff and volunteers I again welcome you to Knoxville. I sincerely hope you have a memorable time. Our goal is to conduct a quality tournament while encompassing the AYSO mission of developing and delivering a quality youth soccer program where everyone builds positive character through participation in a fun, fair, safe, family environment based on the AYSO philosophies. REMEMBER, "It’s for the kids".
