Rene "Eddie" Neely

1964 - 2008

The Knoxville youth sports community lost a true friend and colleague with the passing of Eddie Neely this week. Eddie was the director of the Knoxville CBFO youth football and basketball programs, Regional Commissioner of AYSO Soccer Region 128 and an important member of the Section 5 Games Tournament committee, as well as a talented mentor, coach, referee and cherished friend.

The Section Five games Staff is proud to have called Eddie our friend and teammate. We are ever so grateful to Eddie's wife Pam, his children Mira & Matthew for sharing him with us. We are all better people for having known him and will miss him deeply.

On behalf of the Section Five Tournament Committee and all of the kids of Knoxville youth sports whose life he touched, we dedicate all we do for this year’s Section Five 5 Games to his memory and send our prayers, thoughts and best wishes to his family, friends and colleagues.
